there's a really weird vibe here | like it's the end of the world tomorrow | it's only an election and not even here | everyone is steamed up | so much that i had to go away >
till wants me to ask you something | he'd like to write music recommendations for you every now and then | just what he currently fancies | would you like something like that? | till has a pretty good taste in music | knows a lot of stuff that no one else knows | and unlike me he's also good with words | here's a little sample >
Geordie Greep - The New Sound
Although I'm not exactly known as a lover of virtuoso finger-fiddling and music academy show-offs, I have to admit that this album really bows me away. Maybe it's because none of the millions of notes squeezed into a song here seem superfluous or vain. Rather, everything is imbued with an urgency that takes your breath away. Or perhaps it is the tendency towards the absurd and comical that runs through music and lyrics. All of this is reminiscent of Frank Zappa in the best way. And to be honest, it's just as exhausting to listen to. But for those who don't shy away from heavy chunks, this is a wild ride, the likes of which I haven't heard for many years.
