The last few days we haven´t really gotten around to making music. First Jin wasn´t there. She had spontaneously gone to Ukraine. A few weeks ago she had met Masha, a young woman who fled the war with her little son. Now the two of them had taken it into their heads to bring her husband to Germany as well. Took a car and just drove off. Four days later they were back again - alone, disappointed and very exhausted. For Jin it´s hard to accept that there are people who'd want to fight in a war voluntarily.
Today we had planned to meet again, but Hans didn't show up. Was still asleep. That's typical Hans, too... he was probably working on something last night until early in the morning, maybe even on one of our songs. Sometimes he gets into a real frenzy. Then he can't stop until he falls asleep with his face on the keyboard. When that happens, the next day is definitely done. There´s not much point in waking him up either. Most of the time you can't get him up anyway and if you do, he's useless.
So the four of us tried a little bit on our own. But we didn´t really get anything done. Not a big problem - we don't have any time pressure. But I notice that the impatience in me is growing. We now have 82 followers here on Instagram. That's not much, but considering the fact that we haven't even released one second of music yet, it´s also a small miracle. And an impressive leap of faith. I know that many of you are waiting to finally hear something from us. And it's getting increasingly uncomfortable to keep putting you off.
But it's no use lying to ourselves. It will be quite a while until we can present a finished song. That's why I would actually like to show you some impressions in advance. Maybe a rehearsal recording, a small beat or a piano theme - whether finished or not. Then you could be part of our creative journey and see how our music is created.
I know that Hans is strictly against it. And Till is at least skeptical. That's why I wanted to ask you: Would you like to hear sketches or preliminary versions on the way to our finished songs? Or would you rather wait and hear the final result? Feel free to comment and let me know how you feel about it?
